“Hands in Flour” is an immersive culinary workshop inspired by Cretan heritage. Participants learn to create traditional recipes by hand, using simple ingredients, patience and love.
The workshop begins before the dough is even touched. Guests are introduced to our historic flour mill, where the grain is ground using traditional methods. This part of the experience connects participants with the full journey of bread from grain, to flour, to dough and to the final bake and taste. Our team explains each step and answer questions, turning a simple workshop into a true cultural story.
The full workshop experience lasts approximately 4 hours
• 2.5 hours hands-on workshop
• 1.5 hour tasting
• Duration from 10:00 until 14:00
Guests prepare, bake and then enjoy everything they have created, together with selected Cretan products in a beautifully decorated setting in the olive grove.
Workshops may include participants coming through different travel agencies or partners. This means that the final group may consist of guests from several agencies, from different countries & different languages may be spoken.
Despite our different backgrounds, during the workshop, we become one group, one table, one shared experience ,cooking, laughing and enjoying the process from beginning to end.
Group size
Minimum group: 4 participants
Ideal group: 13-15 participants
If the workshop seats are full, someone can be an observer and also enjoy the tasting.
If it is a workshop day, we can host maximum 30 people, 15 of whom will be able to participate.

Workshops are primarily conducted in English and Greek.
Safety & Comfort
The venue offers shade areas (not only under the trees) comfortable seating and weather contingency arrangements (for 30 people). Hygiene standards and handling procedures are strictly followed.
Dietary requests
Should any participants require a gluten-free option or suffer any allergies, please feel free to inform us in advance , so we can adjust and prepare the ingredients appropriately.
Private groups
If you have a private group of 10 participants or more and wish to request: A different day or a specific starting time, please let us know, we are happy to add an additional workshop to the week schedule.
Booking for each workshop must be confirmed at least 48 hours in advance, so that we can have a complete overview of participants and prepare the space accordingly.
Every workshop is more than cooking lesson, it is an immersive journey into Cretan life, tradition and nature. Whether guests join as active participants or as happy tasters, strangers become friends, stories are exchanged and authentic memories are made.
